Kimberley Fernandez - CLD, CCCE (CAPPA), HBCE
Kimberley is a Certified Labour Doula and Childbirth Educator and a Hypnobirthing Practitioner. She has three children of her own and has many years of experience working with families and birthing mothers. When you contact The Toronto Doula Group she will work with you to find the "right" doula for you. Her experience and compassion will aid her in finding what your support needs are and how the Toronto Doula Group can best serve you.
"I feel that all birth is natural. Your birth experience should be what you want it to be. As a doula I'm not here to impose my beliefs on you or your family. Rather I'm here to support you in your beliefs and to make sure that your experience, as closely as possible, matches your vision. Whether your choice is completely unmedicated, medicated with lots of interventions or somewhere in between. There is no greater experience then bringing a child into the world, and I will be there to support you and your family. As an educator my role is to give you the best, most up to date, evidence based information so you are prepared to birth your child and to have confidence and support in the postpartum period." ~ Kimberley.
Stephanie Ross-Alouche - PLD, PPD, CBE (DONA)
Stephanie has provided both birth and postpartum Doula services to growing families in and around the GTA since 1996. She is the proud mother of 4 very healthy children all of whom came into the world by a wide variety of circumstances. Her own diverse range of personal birth experiences has brought her to a passion for healthy birthing practices and research based education. Helping women and families navigate the often confusing information regarding Cesarean Prevention, is of particular interest.
"I will support your growing family on the journey through pregnancy, birth and the postpartum period. During pregnancy will answer your questions, discuss your birth wishes (birth plan) and support each of your physical and emotional needs throughout your birthing experience. In the post-birth period of change, my focus will be assisting in striking a balance between your needs and those of your new baby. I will help you to recognize the cues of your baby, assist with nursing support, night support, and answer the many "is this normal?" line of questions day or night."~ Stephanie
